To the family of Shirley: You are all in my thoughts at this time. Know that she is still with you in all the little ways. Tiny things in your day to day lives will make you stop and realize she is always with you. Much love, Laura Brown despite the last name, I'm not a relation

Shirley was my best friend and though we never met each other in person, we shared many many good times on the computer and on the phone. She was there for me and me for her through some very rough times. I thank God for bringing her into my life. My prayers are with you all and Bert and I are here if you need a friend. Take care of Bill because he needs his family. Lots of Love, Peggy and Bert

Dear Bill, So many years have passed since we were neighbors on 48th St.,it was a shock to learn that Shirley had passed and also to see that we were the same age. My parents were always grateful for the many kindnesses you both showed them, as were my late brother and I. May you and your daughters find comfort in remembering her goodness and love. My thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Jack Golden
